Dr. Raiche will focus on reviewing the research around what is gender dysphoria and how specialized mental health experts make the diagnosis and support these complex patients. Dr. Dawrant will provide an overview of the tools the modern medicine uses to suppress one class of sex hormones and introduce another in order to facilitate the gender transition, as well as touching on the advances in surgery that support this unique population of individuals.
